Welcome to Harrogate High School´s Sixth Form Prospectus. The school provides the opportunity for high achievement and a range of experiences in a friendly, caring atmosphere.
Our Post 16 Vision is to equip our young adults with the essential skills and aspirations to succeed in the world of employment and/or further education and to develop a work ethos that models excellent standards of learning
There are many opportunities for students to develop a wide range of extra-curricular experiences including charity work, voluntary work, enterprise, leadership skills, sport and music. Students are also able to enjoy additional responsibility by taking on roles such as Prefect or Assistant Mentor.
Our broad and balanced curriculum caters for diverse interests and abilities. We offer a variety of A-Levels, Applied A-Levels, BTEC Nationals and GCSEs providing progression from Key Stage Four.
We take great care to ensure a smooth transition from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 studies so that our students are challenged to do well and are supported by experienced staff to reach or exceed their targets. We have a long tradition and continue to aspire to prepare students for entry to higher education and for employment.
Harrogate High School also has its own Sixth Form Centre, which includes a study room, cafeteria and ICT facilities. Students also have access to the excellent range of specialist subject teaching facilities on the school campus.
We are keen to encourage young people to continue with their studies and hope that you will seriously consider joining the Harrogate High School Sixth Form.
