Careers boxes 2

Harrogate High School is passionate about making connections with the Business Community in order to enrich the knowledge, understanding, and aspirations of each and every student.   We are exceptionally proud to confirm that we are working with Lisa Avins (Learning and Development Officer) from Ilke homes as our Enterprise Advisors.

Ilkle homes develop modular homes that are precision-engineered along a production line in a warm, dry factory by skilled craftsmen and engineers.  As a result of excellent efficiency, they are capable of producing a home from start-to-finish in just seven days, with six homes coming off the production line a day.

Lisa Avins from Ilke Homes explains, “we are extremely excited to be working with Harrogate High School to help with the skills development of their pupils thinking of entering a career. No one is too young to be inspired. With a growing number of people disenchanted in a career in construction and manufacturing, we must find new ways to encourage young people to enter our industry and provide the homes that people up and down the country deserve, by collaborating closely we can develop a huge pipeline of incredible talent.”

Louise Lunn from the Careers Enterprise Company also states that: “I am delighted to support Harrogate High School via the CEC project and see the innovative ways they are able to inspire students to understand local career opportunities working with their Enterprise Advisor.  Harrogate High are extremely focused, providing resources about career information and guidance for their students, integrating activities throughout the curriculum”.
