Our School

School Partnerships

The Harrogate SSP is a network of 9 Secondary and 64 Primary Schools working collaboratively with National Governing Bodies, Sports Clubs and community groups to provide increased opportunities for young people to play sport, volunteer, compete and to enjoy their Physical Education regardless of their ability. The Harrogate SSP works closely with schools to identify gaps in provision and to engage young people in a range of sports and physical activities.

Within our website you will find information on who we are, what our aims as a partnership are and some of the great initiatives and projects that are happening across the network of schools to increase participation in P.E, sport and volunteering by young people.

You will also find a range of information and resources on a number of national, regional and local initiatives including our aspiration to ensure every young person can play sport to the best of their abilities and have access to coaching and volunteering opportunities both within school and a community setting. We hope you find our website useful and informative.

cropped-spalogo-250pxHarrogate High School and the Spa Tennis Club have recently built phase one of a new state of the art tennis centre on the school site.

The centre has six outdoor courts and will eventually house four indoor lawn tennis courts as well as changing rooms, a table tennis suite, gym, meeting rooms and catering facilities.

As part of our PE curriculum, Harrogate High School students are able to use the facility which includes professional coaching provided by Spa Tennis Club.

Harrogate Railway Juniors

HRA FC

Harrogate Railway Junior Athletics FC are based at Harrogate High School and over 400 of their juniors use these facilities during the football season. The good working relationship between school and the Club has enabled HRA members and HHS students to benefit and develop their footballing skills.
