Description:

We are looking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor who will make a positive contribution to the achievements and wellbeing of the students at Harrogate High School. The role will require you to work with students across all year groups and provide support and guidance during times when their regular teacher is absent. The post would be ideal for anyone wishing to gain classroom experience for a future career in teaching or for someone with a passion for providing young people with the very best of life chances.

The successful candidate will be kind, patient and resilient and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with both young people and adults alike. Applicants will be required to have an awareness of Safeguarding procedures and experience of working with children and young people. Previous working in a school and a good understanding of school systems would be advantageous.

Description:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities team and support the school in ensuring the environment is safe, clean and compliant for all, to carry out cleaning duties within allocated timescales, whilst taking a flexible approach in order to meet the school’s requirements. Duties will include(but not exhaustive):

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
  • Emptying waste paper bins
  • Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings & paintwork
  • Cleaning around toilet areas
  • Dust control mopping / sweeping of floors

Description:

We currently have an opportunity for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a Hub of Schools. The role is extremely varied and you will be responsible for a range of areas including:

  • supervising the cleaning staff working at the various locations through monitoring of areas and ensuring high standards are maintained; • Managing equipment, materials and stock levels;
  • Training and developing staff;
  • Monitoring and maintaining records in accordance with COSHH regulations.

You will need to be:

  • Experienced in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry;
  • Strong people skills;
  • Attention to detail and high standards of work;
  • Good relationship building skills with the ability to communicate at all levels;
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations;
  • General education to at least National Level 2, e.g. GCSEs grades A*-C.

We are seeking someone who is committed to working under the direction and supervision of the Facilities Manager to ensure that the school premises and facilities are available for both educational and allied usage, and kept to a clean, secure, safe and well-maintained standard. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that Harrogate High School students have a pleasant, safe and suitable environment in which to learn and to assist with the school’s community use programme by providing caretaking duties outside of school hours. Whilst this role will predominately be an evening post a degree of flexibility is required to provide support within this small but dedicated team.

The role will require you to work alongside students who require additional support to access our exciting and varied curriculum, providing support both physically and emotionally to support a successful transition and academic progress. The desire to see each student flourish and reach their full potential using a variety of support strategies is crucial.
