IT Support Technician – Harrogate HubJob Type: 37 hours per week, Full Time (all year round)

Description:

Harrogate High School is proud to be part of Northern Star Academies Trust, an innovative and growing multi-academy trust based around a centralised executive management function and three geographical ‘hubs’ – Harrogate, Skipton and Keighley, enabling the sharing and managing of resources in support of the local hub schools. The ICT Technician role is critical to the effective and efficient running of the schools in the Harrogate Hub. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, positive, well organised and possess the ability to work in close partnership with staff from across the schools and colleagues in the MAT Centre.

You will:

  • Work alongside another technician being responsible for the day-to-day support of all ICT services at Harrogate High School, being a point of contact for IT support escalation and problem management within the schools
  • Work within the Trust ICT team to help support all primary schools across the Harrogate Hub
  • Take a proactive approach in dealing with IT support requests and software / equipment faults to ensure a high standard of support is always maintained;
  • Monitor all critical systems, such as anti-virus, networking equipment, server hardware systems and respond to alerts generated by these systems appropriately;
  • Work closely with the Exams and Cover Manager to implement and support all online examination client / server software for individual examination boards;
  • Be efficient, organised and capable in order to prioritise tasks effectively;
  • Be approachable and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as an IT Technician preferably in a similar environment. The role will require you to work alongside students who require additional support to access our exciting and varied curriculum, providing support both physically and emotionally to support a successful transition and academic progress. Description:

We are seeking someone who is committed to working under the direction and supervision of the Facilities Manager to ensure that the school premises and facilities are available for both educational and allied usage, and kept to a clean, secure, safe and well-maintained standard. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that Harrogate High School students have a pleasant, safe and suitable environment in which to learn and to assist with the school’s community use programme by providing caretaking duties outside of school hours. Whilst this role will predominately be an evening post a degree of flexibility is required to provide support within this small but dedicated team.

Description:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities team and support the school in ensuring the environment is safe, clean and compliant for all, to carry out cleaning duties within allocated timescales, whilst taking a flexible approach in order to meet the school’s requirements.

Duties will include (but not exhaustive):

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
  • Emptying waste paper bins
  • Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings & paintwork
  • Cleaning around toilet areas

Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic person to provide finance support to the school, in a very varied role, which includes working alongside members of the Finance team to:

  • Day to day processing of HHS accounts including raising requisitions, checking against set department budgets, processing orders, tracking, checking deliveries.
  • Support members of staff responsible for delegated budgets with procedures to enable them to monitor their budgets.
  • Assist members of staff with administration or finance related queries.
  • Act as the first point of contact from parents re. queries about payments they are asked to make, and if a refund is required, liaise with the central finance team for processing.

You will need to be able to demonstrate flexibility and an enthusiasm to learn and have experience of working in an administrative capacity previously. This role involves teamwork and the ability to manage and prioritise own workloads. The successful candidate will have an awareness of safeguarding procedures within school and preferably have had experience of working with children.
