Description:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Facilities team and support the school in ensuring the environment is safe, clean and compliant for all, to carry out cleaning duties within allocated timescales, whilst taking a flexible approach in order to meet the school’s requirements. Duties will include(but not exhaustive):

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
  • Emptying waste paper bins
  • Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings & paintwork
  • Cleaning around toilet areas
  • Dust control mopping / sweeping of floors
  • Vacuuming floors

We are looking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor who will make a positive contribution to the achievements and wellbeing of the students at Harrogate High School. The role will require you to work with students across all year groups and provide support and guidance during times when their regular teacher is absent. The post would be ideal for anyone wishing to gain classroom experience for a future career in teaching or for someone with a passion for providing young people with the very best of life chances.

  • Have experience, or interest in working as a Premises Manager;
  • Have experience in overseeing a range of caretaking and cleaning duties;
  • Support the development of a Caretaking and Cleaning Hub, to ensure sites have sufficient and quality support.

Description:

We are looking for a flexible, dynamic and knowledgeable technician to support learning within all areas of Design & Technology, including Resistant Materials, Textiles and Food Technology at Harrogate High School.

Your main tasks will consist of:

  • Preparing lesson resources to aide teachers in lesson delivery
  • Maintaining levels of tidiness and hygiene across the 3 specialist classrooms (Kitchen, Workshop and Textiles)
  • Assisting in the maintenance and organisation of stock and equipment
  • Providing support/demonstrations within practical lessons
  • Following the maintenance schedule for equipment and carrying out basic repairs where possible

You will be independent and organised with the ability to take initiative to best support teachers and students within the Design Technology department. You will have relevant experience or an interest in an element of the subject (Product Design, Hospitality & Catering or Textiles). You will be willing to complete training within school to attain DATA training certificates for workshop machinery and other relevant safety certificates. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate well to students and staff of all levels.

We are looking to appoint a confident, effective and highly motivated Personal Care Assistant to support new students commencing their secondary school experience. The role will require you to work alongside students who require additional support to access our exciting and varied curriculum, providing support both physically and emotionally to support a successful transition and academic progress. Applicants should be kind, resilient and patient with a good sense of humour and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. The desire to see each student flourish and reach their full potential using a variety of support strategies is crucial. The successful candidate will have an awareness of safeguarding procedures within school and have had experience appropriate to working with children.
