Admissions
Harrogate High School is an Academy Trust for students in Years 7 to 13 (age 11 to 16).
As an Academy Trust, we are our own admission authority, but admissions to Years 7-11 are co-ordinated on our behalf by North Yorkshire Council.

Admissions policy
Out of Area Pupils
Parents who live outside North Yorkshire may also apply for entry to Harrogate High School. You should contact your local authority, ask for one of their common applications forms and return it to them. These applications will be considered after all catchment area applications have been allocated. North Yorkshire Council will notify your local authority if you have been successful in gaining a place at Harrogate High. Your local authority will be responsible for offering your son/daughter a place if we are unable to meet your preference.
Information for new students
We understand that moving to a new school can be a difficult time for students. To help you learn more about the school we have written a FAQ booklet which will hopefully help answer many of your questions. Please read this with your family to help develop a better understanding of the school but please feel assured that any further questions that you have can be answered during an admissions meeting.
